Literature & Arts ~ Presidents' Bar

Located on the 2nd floor, the Presidents' Bar houses a portion of the Club's permanent art collection. The series of paintings that grace the walls here are important examples of the works of notable Chicago artists and serve to reinforce the Club's position in the local art scene. Such a role has always been a part of the mission of the University Club and this collection is an excellent example of the generation that formed the context of modern art in Chicago. These works, the challenges and opportunities for dialogue that they offer, represent the role that modern art will always play in our intellectual lives.
