To stay at the University Club of Chicago you must be sponsored by a Club member or reciprocal club member.
The University Club of Chicago's guest rooms have the following times for check-in and check-out:
Late check-out must be pre-approved with the Front Office on the day of departure. If it is not you could be charged.
Sponsoring Guest Rooms
Members' guests are able to enjoy all of the Club's facilities, such as the pool, Fitness Center, restaurants, meeting rooms, Library and so much more.
Business casual attire or better is required while checking in and checking out of the Club, as well as throughout the Clubhouse Monday through Friday. Should you choose to wear athletic attire, it is only permitted in the Club's Athletics facilities. Members and guests dressed in athletic attire may enter and depart only through the service entrance in the West alley or the West valet entrance to the Clubhouse and must utilize the back service elevator or back staircase.
Inappropriate attire is considered, but not limited to: denim, gym shoes, shorts, t-shirts, jogging suits, sweat pants, sweat shirts, bathing suits, lycra tops.
The Club reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine on a case by case basis, what is or is not appropriate attire, and in doing so its objective will be to preserve the ambiance of the Clubhouse. Please be advised that members and guests not conforming to this rule, will not be allowed to check in.
A jacket and tie are required in Cathedral Hall for ala carte dining.
Cancellations for all reservations will be accepted until 3 p.m. two days (48-hours) prior to arrival. A charge of one night's stay (plus surcharge) will be imposed for each reservation cancelled after the deadline.
